Mission Smile :) Igloo Drink Cooler
I swear, I can spot smiles anywhere now.... I was walking through SAMS Club and saw this propped up in someone's cart. My husband was all like "Take a picture!"
So here it is...the happiest drink cooler I have even seen.
Fun Email Forward: Psychic Math Test
At the end of this message, you are asked a question. Answer it immediately. Don't stop and think about it. Just say the first thing that pops into your mind. This is a fun 'test' AND kind of spooky at the same time!
Give it a try, then post your answer in the comments to see how many people you know fall into the same percentage as you. Be sure to say if you are among the 98% or the 2%.
You'll understand what that means after you finish taking the 'test.' Now - just follow the instructions as quickly as possible. Do not go to the next calculation before you have finished the previous one. You do not ever need to write or remember the answers, just do it using your mind.
You'll be surprised.

An Introduction to the Science of Positive Psychology A Workshop and Webcast
with Dr. Jeanne Nakamura, Claremont Graduate University
Positive psychology emerged a decade ago as an organized effort to use the tools of psychological science and use them to describe and explain human flourishing – happiness, creativity, flow, resilience, and other character strengths largely ignored by psychology’s first century of research. On Friday, August 20, 2010, Claremont Graduate University is offering a workshop (also available as a live webcast) for those interested in positive psychology, but perhaps unfamiliar with what has been done in the amazing first ten years of research. This one-day event will serve as an introduction to the scientific research in this rapidly growing area. It will provide a brief history of the field and acquaint participants with major areas of research. Topics will include positive experience, positive lives, and positive institutions, with special attention to work on flow by the field’s co-founder, Claremont professor Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi.

In an attempt to make this event available in tight economic times, Claremont is thrilled to be able to offer early registration seats for only $125 for professionals, $64 for students.
The event will also be webcast live in our virtual classroom – online seats are only $75 for professionals, $30 for students.
Register to attend on-site or via webcast.
This event is a part of a larger annual conference on social science research, which may be viewed here: www.cgu.edu/workshops

Happy Mother's Day!
| A Mother's Love There are times when only a Mother's love Can understand our tears, Can soothe our disappoints And calm all of our fears. There are times when only a Mother's love Can share the joy we feel When something we've dreamed about Quite suddenly is real. There are times when only a Mother's faith Can help us on life's way And inspire in us the confidence We need from day to day. For a Mother's heart and a Mother's faith And a Mother's steadfast love Were fashioned by the Angels And sent from God above. -author unknown |
